Swift and unwavering in flight, the dragonfly never retreats, earning its place as an emblem of forward movement and quiet strength. During Japan’s feudal era, samurai adorned their armour and weapons with dragonfly motifs, believing its unyielding motion reflected their own determination in battle. The dragonfly was also called Kachimushi, meaning the insect of victory.
